Declaration of value

Declaration of value

In order to apply for a Declaration of Value (Dichiarazione di Valore) you must provide the Consular Section in Copenhagen with the following documentation:

a) Filled-in request-form

b) A copy of your passport or national ID card;

c) The original Danish diploma in all its parts, including list of passed exams and marks. If you do not want to deliver us the original diploma, you could ask the University / Education Institute that issued it to emit a copy (certified true copy/bekræftet kopi), which should be newly signed, dated and stamped.

d) A translation of the documents described in point c) from Danish into Italian carried out by an official translator. 179,00 DKK should be paid for our legalization of the signature of the translator. See here for a list of translators in Denmark.

In case the diploma is both in Danish and English, you could opt for a translation from English into Italian made by an official translator in Italy.

e) The original Diploma Supplement, which will be accepted in English and therefore doesn’t require any translation.

f) A copy of the diploma that gave you access to the course of study in question, which does not require any translation.

g) A letter written in English by the University/ Education Institute stating the starting and finishing date of the doctorate and that it was a full-time course of at least three years (ONLY IN CASE YOU ARE REQUESTING A DECLARATION OF VALUE FOR A PHD)

Please send the abovementioned documentation by recommended letter to this address:

Italian Consular Section

Once we have received the entire documentation, we’ll prepare the declaration within approx. 4 weeks. The cost of the Declaration of Value is 305,50 DKK, which should be paid by bank transfer. We will provide you with our bank account number at a later stage. In case the Declaration is requested for study reasons by Italians living abroad or foreigners, it is free of charge.

When ready, the Declaration must be picked up personally at the Consular Section in Copenhagen, otherwise you should provide us with a shipping label (Recommended letter by Postnord or any courier of your choice) for shipment to your address.
